Alternative provision at fur & fields farm

Approved Provider on Somerset Council's Alternative Learning Provision Framework

Every child deserves the opportunity to thrive.

At Fur & Fields Farm, we provide bespoke Alternative Provision for children and young people who benefit from learning in a calm, nurturing environment outside of the traditional classroom.

Through meaningful interactions with our rescued animals, practical outdoor activities and personalised support, we help learners build confidence, emotional wellbeing, resilience and essential life skills.

We work collaboratively with schools, local authorities, families and professionals to create programmes tailored to each young person's individual strengths, needs and aspirations.

Who we support...

✔ Children and young people with SEND

✔ Autism

✔ ADHD

✔ SEMH

✔ School avoidance

✔ Anxiety

✔ Low confidence

✔ Emotional regulation difficulties

✔ Learners who thrive outside mainstream education

our approach...

We believe every learner is unique.

Rather than expecting young people to fit into one way of learning, we adapt our sessions to suit the individual. By combining therapeutic animal interactions, practical outdoor experiences and personalised support, we create opportunities for learners to develop confidence, communication, independence and a renewed enjoyment of learning.

Our approach is relationship-led, trauma-informed and strengths-based, recognising each learner's potential while providing a calm, safe and encouraging environment in which they can flourish.
